I'm having awful trouble for something that should be so simple.

I have the below information and am wanting to count how many figures there are in a column, based on a criteria. In this case, B9 is 2, so I need a formula that counts how many occurrences in the 2 column (column C). Answer should be 4. B9 may change.

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
How about
Excel Formula:
=COUNT(INDEX(B2:K7,,B9))

That did the trick perfectly! I'm not sure I quite understand it, but hopefully it sinks in soon.
