I have index/match with multiple spreadsheets all with a unique identifier on all the different spreadsheets. How do I use the formula to look for the unique identifier in a spreadsheet and then return a value I need?

Thanks,

Excel Facts

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
in different workbooks or different sheets, if workbook are the books open or closed
If seperate sheet - you could USE an IFERROR , then if not found in one lookup , move to the next , you can NEST the IFERROR
=IFERROR( index/match1 , IFERROR ( index/match2 , index/match3) )
