Hi All,

I used to have a formula a while ago (lost the file) that found matching items in a list ... say Col A has a column of numbers used for unique ID purposes.

I had the cell change colour when there was more than one number the same. (conditional formatting)

in other words .. it would identify all same value numbers by colouring their cells.

any idea how I did it?

thanks..

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
Thanks Paddy,

Yes that worked .... applied it to conditional format ...
