I have a very large spreadsheet with approximately 40 tabs.

I would like to set up the first page of this spreadsheet with an index showing each tab.

This Index would have a brief decritpion of what is in each tab.

I would then like to be able to select a button that would then take you to that tab.

Is there a way of doing this please?

TIA

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
Steve,

THANKS.....

I did that purposely in caps just to really express my appreciation for pointing me in the right direction.

Experimented a little and it works like a charm.

I can't even begin to tell you what a difference this 'little' thing has made to the presentaion of my spreadsheet.

MrExcel rocks.
