Hi all
I am seeking a solution to a problem with the indirect function referencing closed workbooks.
When the workbooks are opened all the functions work well to colate and consolidate the data. However the when any one of the sheets is closed I get #ref.
I have used Indirect() to reference sheets which are subject to change and are given a new suffix (v1; v2 etc) for version control. I just need to change the appropriate value in a named range "workbook" rather than change all the formulas individually.
=INDIRECT("'["&workbook&".xls]"&"Employee Related Summary'!$F$63")/1000
Does anyone have ideas how to make indirect() function like a direct link and refresh the data without opening every workbook?
Any assistance would be mightily appreciated
Cheers
