Hello,

I have three tabs named 01A, 01B, 01C. They are in exact same layout. I want to calculate the difference between 01A and 01B in 01C. A1 in each tab houses the tab name. I wonder if someone could help me simply this formula, if possible. BTW, for some reasons, I don't want "=01A!b1-01B!b1".

In 01C B1
"=INDIRECT("'"&LEFT($A$1,2)&"A'!"&MID(CELL("address",B1),2,1)&ROW(B1))-INDIRECT("'"&LEFT($A$1,2)&"B'!"&MID(CELL("address",B1),2,1)&ROW(B1))"

Any help will be appreciated.

What do you have exactly in $A$1 on 01C?

A1 ="MID(CELL("filename",A1),FIND("]",CELL("filename",A1))+1,99)" to get the tab name.
