Hi All. One that's really stumped me. We have a file that links to other files. There is a formula on one of the sheets and for some reason even when the linked file is deleted it does the following. Says that there is an error and the source is not found but still showing the data from the file even though it's been deleted from the folder. The macro works so that if it comes back as a Ref it knows it's missing and tells you so. Any ideas?

Excel Facts

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.
Select the particular source link and click on "Break link".
Also, update your formulas and Macros so that it doesn't refer to that deleted file anymore.

If I break the link it replaces the formula with just a value. Tat means replacing the formulas all over again. The macro itself doesn't reference the links just a cell on a sheet.

And I don't want to break the link so to speak. I just want the sheet to tell me if I need to rerun that file.
