Good evening,

Not sure what I have done to my excel but if I enter 100 on the page it is displaying 1.

This is new.

It is formatted correctly. Even the formula display bar shows 1.

Any ideas?

I wish it was

£#,##0.00

in general it is just showing 1 in order to show 100 i have to input 10000

OK I seem to have found the culprit but dont know what to do with it.

It appears to be a worksheet I looked at online for someone on here.

If I hover over the Book 1 in the excel sheet its address is http://83.212.36/book1.xlsx

How can I delete this from my pc?

Sounds like you have Fixed Decimal Places set in your Excel options. In my Excel 2007 that is found via Office button>Excel Options>Advanced>Editing Options>Uncheck "Automatically insert a decimal point". Your version will be similar (if not 2007). My memory is failing now, but it will be in Tools>Options in 2003

Yup Firefly,

That got it.

Its a bit annoying I can not actually find the file and delete it but removing the check on that file has released all the others.

Many thanks.

That's interesting,

Is that the case for all the options in the excel options panel,

If thats the case if you want a specific thing for just one sheet or book you have to fomat the cells directly?

It depends upon the option but some are tied to workbooks and some not (it's usually obvious from the section header in the options what the option applies to). In principle you are correct - if you want something specifically for a certain sheet then you should implement it via formatting for that sheet (or coding specific to that sheet say through events for that sheet).
