I have a sheet with thousands of numbers. The information is from two sensors, with a slightly different value, and theese information come in pairs where each sensor has it own row. To use the data I need to have the one with the lowest value removed from every pair. Is this possible?

I am new at Excel

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
One method would be to autosort the data and remove the smallest one by hand but I'm not sure that's within your capabilities since it might get the data out of order permanently. I would suggest a macro. Are you familiar with VBA?

Sort all the data descending by value.

Then select all of the data, and do Data > Remove Duplicates, and check the column that contains the sensor ID.

Sorry, I misunderstood you. So you want to go through each data point and remove the data from the sensor that was reading lower, correct? You would need a macro with a loop for that.

ColA|ColB|ColC
2|3|=max(a2:b2)
5|2|=max(a3:b3)

If your data is setup this way, double-click the square in the bottom right corner of the cell C2, and it will drop the formula to the bottom of your list.

I have just started with VBA, and I am learning the basics.
