is there a way that I can input a time without using the colon? I want to enter 14:30 as 1430 but i still want it to be recogonized as a time.

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
The following code will change your input numbers to TIME in the listed range.
Code:
Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
If Intersect(Target, Range("A1:A20")) Is Nothing Then Exit Sub
UserInput = Target.Value
On Error Resume Next
If UserInput > 1 Then
NewInput = Left(UserInput, Len(UserInput) - 2) & ":" & Right(UserInput, 2)
Application.EnableEvents = False
Target = NewInput
Application.EnableEvents = True
End If
End Sub
Right click sheet tab
Click "View Code"
Paste the code into the panel that opens. ("WorkSheet" Module)

Adjust the input range as desired.
