Insert a row in a protected worksheet

just wondering if its possible to protect a worksheet and still be able to insert a row or column in excel?

It's no possible but you can use this macro:

ActiveSheet.Unprotect
Selection.Insert Shift:=xlDown
ActiveSheet.Protect
