I have about 6 external access queries linked on 1 excel sheet. For the external properties I have chosen Insert cells for new data, delete unused cells, dont adjust column widths, and keep cell formating.

Adding and losing rows ussallys works OK except when there is no data in one of the queries. When there is no data, 1 record stays and replaces the header row. (Even though the queries does not come back with any results). The header row is the one being deleted instead of the record row

Can anyone help with this

Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
Run the queries sequentially to retrive data to the "Transfer" worksheet as follows
Clear the Transfer worksheet.
Run the first query.
Code code to check if more than 1 row present.
If more than 1 present, copy to appropriate spot on the original destination worksheet.
Repeat for next query.
