Hello Excel Wizards,

Is there a way to enter a line break in a cell using a delimiter?

I have the following notes in a cell using * as the delimiter. I can do text to columns and use the * as the delimiter to separate each new note
10/15 (MC) MFR DELAYED SHIPMENT* 9/24 (MC) UPS LOST SHIPMENT IN TRANSIT FROM MFR. MFR SHIPPING AGAIN. SHIP DATE REVISED TO 9/30* 8/27 (MC) DATE PENDING FROM MFR*

Now I need to keep the notes in one cell separating each one with a line break (Alt + Ent) like below.
10/15 (MC) MFR DELAYED SHIPMENT*
9/24 (MC) UPS LOST SHIPMENT IN TRANSIT FROM MFR. MFR SHIPPING AGAIN. SHIP DATE REVISED TO 9/30*
8/27 (MC) DATE PENDING FROM MFR*

Am I able to use a delimiter to do a line break in the cell?

Any help is appreciated.

Excel Facts

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
You can use replace (Ctrl H) put ~* into the search box & in the replace with box hit Ctrl J then replace all

Did you hit Ctrl J more than once?
You should get one linebreak for every *
