Hi Experts,

I have tried and failed to accomplish what I am trying to do.

I am not allowed to attach a spreadsheet, but I have one, that I hope lays out what I am trying to do. The highlighting is just for reference and does not need to be included in any help provided. It was just the best way I could think of to show the before and after.

I have the before data set at the top and the Macro version at the bottom. The actual data set will have over 300k - 400k lines but I only included 10 for example purposes. I need the details entered on Splitting Details tab to be used when calculating the lines to go down before the insert happens. There then needs to be two lines inserted with different details needing to be included on each line. I entered comments in each field to try to help explain where it is coming from. I added a Red line because as you will see if there is no D's in Column A under a new H row it just needs to be deleted, it happens on the last row.

Please let me know what else I can do to help clarify what is not clear. I really do appreciate any help.

I would like to keep the Macro running all on the same Tab (Journal). I do not want to do a copy paste to another Tab.

The data does not need to start below the main set of data, it just needs to add the lines in the original set of data. The two sets of data were just to show the before and after. Hope that is clear

If I could figure out how to submit the spreadsheet I would :).

Thanks again Experts.

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
nevermind, I have made progress on this. Still having one issue. But this is resolved. Thanks to those who looked.
