Insert Timeline Variant

Hi all, looking to see if I can find a variant on the Insert Timeline functionality in Excel that will allow me to have a slider bar that will select based on values ($$, %, etc) instead of date ranges. I'm coming up blank looking all over, and maybe just searching based on the wrong wording to find what I want. Can anyone point me in the right direction for this at all please?
