Insert when selected?

The concept seems so simple, but I can't find it anywhere! I just need a y to automatically show up in a cell when the cell is clicked on.
That is all.

I'm probably just being thick, but Its not working... it may be because I didn't tell you which column it is in. The y entries will need to be made in column A.

That's not why it isn't working - the code I posted should work in any cell. Did you paste into the module of the sheet you're using, rather than a standard module?
