Inserting a character

Hi Y'all

Can anyone help please.

I have already had help on this subject from Bob (Many Thanks Bob)

As you can see this solution utilizes 3 Cells, 1 containing the original characters, 1 containing the character to add, and 1 with the formula.

Does anyone know of a way to achieve the same result but only utilizing 2 cells ?

I guess it woudl work something like this :-

Cell A1 say will contain the original characters
Cell A2 would contain the formula.

The Formula would contain the character you wanted to add to the orignal characters, along with the dirctions which determined where you wished it to be placed within the origianl characters....Does that make Sense? :confused:

Anybody ??????

Is the character you want to put in the middle constant? i.e. put a 3 or ABC in the middle of each text string?
