Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Hi

I think (?) there is a feature on ASAP-utilities.com that will do this very nicely...free download...also have a lot of other good stuff

hope this helps...

This formula will do it, but it's rather tedious to write a formula for something that can be doen so easily with a macro:

=IF(((ROW()+1)/2)=ROUND((ROW()+1)/2,0),OFFSET($A$1,((ROW()+1)/2)-1,0),"")
