I learned how to drag the right-bottom corner of a cell with a date in it over the next 364 cells to create a 1-year sheet. But when I decide to insert a new row to add an item, I don't know how to have the dates fill in (shift) to include that new row without re-dragging 365 days. I welcome your advice, thanks!

Why can't spreadsheets drive cars? They crash too often!
As far as I know you will have to "re-fill" the information. But you don't have to click and drag.

Go to the cell above the new row. Place the cursor on the bottom right side of the cell till the cursor turns into a cross, then double click. This is a very nice little function excel does to autofill columns.

Let me know if this helps you.

Outstanding! I actually had to drag the bottom of the cell above over the new cell, which up'dated' it, but then I could just double-click on the bottom right of the new cell and all the others updated automatically (maybe 'cause I'm using Excel '97). THANKS for the quick response!
