Hi everyone, I have joined this site because I want to improve my excel skills. The problem that I have now which I hope you can help solve is that I want to insert pictures into the spreadsheet but I want to insert them in such a way that as I click on a cell the picture will appear to the side.

I have names of people in each cell and I am wanting to be able to click on that cell and then the picture appear of that person. If I click on another cell the picture of that person will appear. I want to have it work the exact same way as a comment box if possible. Can someone please help? I have been wasting my time trying to figure out how to do this when it's just better to go straight to those that know.

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.

You can use the Comment box to insert a picture. Go to Insert/Comment and double click the border, then use the Color and Lines tab. Select Fill/Fill Effects/Picture

Hi-
Welcome to the board.
this question had been posted and was answered but could not locate the link.
Anyway, click the cell and insert a comment, right click the comment > format comment > click color and lines > from fill color dropdown, select fill effects > click picture and select the pic you want. then click ok.
