Like most offices, we close our books using a series of worksheets which link back and forth until we get a final result for the month. We do Aging to Pivots to Allowance to Model to Summary.

My problem is that sometimes results change due to someone making a minor change in a worksheet far down the chain, the results change and someone has to go look for the problem or in many cases a broken link.

Question is: How do I prevent this going forward. I have put the summary folder on read only but that does not stop changes to the worksheet if the value of the link changes.

I know that this is an uncommon request for this board, but everyone must have this issue and I welcome suggestions on how to solve or prevent this.

Thank you to all
