Why does a text overlap the cells to the left and right of it?
How do I control this?

This will happen if the text is too long for a cell and is centered. Solve this by making your cell bigger or turning on word wrap (Format Cell -> Allignment -> Wrap text)

Putting something in the neighboring cells also halts the slop over.
