I keep getting a pop up that says,

"A formula in this workbook contains one or more invalid references. Verify that your formulas contain a valid path, workbook, range name, and cell reference."

It's very annoying because my spreadsheet references other cells exactly as I want it to and it doesn't cause any problems for me, yet I can't use the sheet because every time I click in a formula, the message comes up.

How can I get rid of this?

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
Hi,

Click on Edit -> Links... And see what's in there.

If it's greyed out then you need to check your formulas. One way would be, in a copy of your workbook, delete each sheet one at a time and then see if it still says the error. If you delete Sheet2 and the error disapears then you know the error is relating to a formula in sheet2.

I'm having the same problem. It is so frustrating. What/where to you mean "Click on Edit -> Links... "? Where is the Edit option in Excel 2007?

Even more frustrating, I cannot SAVE the sheet to make a copy of it because the error message keeps coming up when I try to save.

Any other suggestions? Are there any tools to hunt down the offending cell(s)? thanx. mike
