In reference to this post from 2011...
I recently created a useful spreadsheet in Excel, and I'd love to share it with you peeps :)
It is a tool for determining how much material is left on a roll. Practical application would be, for example, a print shop which prints on paper/foil/film which comes on a roll, and they have used some of the roll. The spreadsheet allows you to enter the thickness of the material (in hundredths of an inch [mil]); the diameter of the core (in inches); and the outer diameter of the roll (in inches) and it will display how many feet of a material (if the entire roll were to be unrolled) are left on the roll. I have a couple of other functionalities I added but that's the basic concept.
I'm no mathematician, but I kind of made up how this would be calculated - and I found one or two websites which calculate this as well, and the numbers matched.
How would I upload this sheet for people to use? Can anyone recommend a good (free) FTP site I can do it on?

- How can I find this formula?

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.
