Hello, once again

Iam trying to digitize the way things are ordered in the office. I made an order sheet, and would like to transfer content to inventory report, for an end of month report. The sheet is a daily order, andvdifferent products are ordered each day. At the end of the month i want to look at a monthly report for submittal. Any help would be appreciated. Thx

Excel Facts

Difference between two dates
Secret function! Use =DATEDIF(A2,B2,"Y")&" years"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"YM")&" months"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"MD")&" days"
If your end of month report sheet has a similar structure and layout to your order sheet it will probably simplify the transfer of data

Well it does problem is, i want to be able to choose between months as in drop down menu and it would tell me what was ordered in what month. I made a different workbook, and it has all the previous ordered products on it updated automatically column after column, at the end of each ordersheet. Now i want to combine all the priducts ordered in one month with the correct monthly quantity, and correct month, in a monthly report.

As per Singapulli, funny enough people reading your problem are not pyschic to know what your sheet looks like so it does help when asking a question to provide as much detail and clarity as you can.

In your case some of these questions pop to mind:

What are the name of your workbooks?
What are the exact names of the sheets in question?
How is a product defined - e.g. unique ID?
How many columns in the sheet?
What are the column headers or which ones are important? etc etc

Does this help?

hi jack

Sure you are right.
however,

based on the subject "Inventory management"
and
"at the end of the month i want to look at a monthly report for submittal"

sounded more like what i already had in files

so just trying to help, if not applicable. still i tried
