Hi Guys,

I am trying to use the IRR function but having little luck.

The formula =IRR(F$43:H$43) returns a #num! error

Any chance someone knows what I am doing wrong?!

Thanks

James

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.

Are all 3 numbers the same sign perhaps?

Hi James

What values do you have in those cells? If IRR can't find a result after so many iterations, it will return #NUM!

You need at least one negative and one positive value (representing cash flow direction ie inflow or outflow) and you appear to have all positive values.
