Is a pivot table the correct approach?

Hello,
I have a spreadsheet with all sales transactions for the past 12 month, by customer, by product. I created a pivot that counts the number of transactions for each customer, by product. It is sorted in alphabetic order on customer. Now I would like to show which customer sell one product, and which sell both products, and would like it to sort by number of transactions. Does this make sense?

thanks

chris

Hi:

A pivot table might work..Care to download some sample data ?

How much data (transactions) do you have to handle?

Wow- thanks for the quick response. I ended up doing the job in a very clunky fashion - I used the pivot table to get my initial data (number of transactions by customer per product), and then did a simple if then statement to define which customers had one or both products. But thanks!!
