I am creating a sheet and want to allow the user to choose from given fields in a drop down. How hard is this....I do not code but can copy and paste ;-}

thanks,

Excel Facts

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.

One question,can I add an option in the dropdown for them to type text if by chance an option wasn't mentioned?

THanks

In the setup process select the Error Alert tab.

If you uncheck where it says: Show error alert after...

Then you'll be able to type in items of your choice.

Put the list on another sheet and then name that range. In your data validation box, where you put in your range, press F3 and select the named range from that list.
