Is it Possible To Keep Column Names In View?

This must be a common problem. I have columns with personal information -- things like name, address, home phone, cell phone, email, etc, maybe 20 columns total. I also have many records, so that when I have scrolled down to enter or view a record the names of the columns are no longer visible. Thus I may see two phone numbers side by side, but be unable to tell which is the cell and which is the home phone. I need to scroll back up to refresh my memory.

Is there a way to either:

1. Fix the first row (which contains the column names) so that it is always visible even if you scroll down?

2. Rename the column letter A, B, C using the column names?

A similar problem arises with right scrolling and keeping the first column visible? In this case only solution (1) would work. Or is there another solution altogether?

Thanks for any advice,
gm

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)
To keep the 1st column and first row always visible, click on cell B2 then click

Window | Freeze panes

1) Select the entire row directly below your header rows, Window, Freeze Panes.

2) Not possible, sorry.

For your third question (just not numbered) would change question #1 answer. If you want to freeze row 1 and column 1 then select B2 | Window | Freeze Panes.
