Is there a formula for this?

Hello. I have a spreadsheet that I need to count duplicate attendees but at different shows. Column A has the name of the show. column D has the full name of the person attending the show and column E has the company name the person works for. I need a formula that tells me if someone in column D attended 2 different shows. For example. If John Doe from Company X is listed twice in column D but Column A says he went to show A and show B. Is this possible? Thanks.

What version of Excel are you using?

I suggest that you update your Account details (or click your user name at the top right of the forum) so helpers always know what Excel version(s) & platform(s) you are using as the best solution often varies by version. (Don’t forget to scroll down & ‘Save’)

Also can you post some sample data & expected results.

Note that there is also a "Test Here” forum on this board. This is a place where you can test using this tool (or any other posting techniques that you want to test) before trying to use those tools in your actual posts.
