Hi All

Does anyone know if there is a formula i can use that will allow me to determine the month from a range of dates.

I want to create a pivot table of dleivery dates by month but all i have are a list of delivery dates that are all different so i am sorting by date and adding the month in the next column manually

<TABLE style="WIDTH: 196pt; BORDER-COLLAPSE: collapse" border=0 cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=262><COLGROUP><COL style="WIDTH: 95pt; mso-width-source: userset; mso-width-alt: 4644" width=127><COL style="WIDTH: 101pt; mso-width-source: userset; mso-width-alt: 4937" width=135><TBODY><TR style="HEIGHT: 30pt" height=40><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #4d6776 0.5pt solid; BORDER-LEFT: #4d6776 0.5pt solid; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #d7ecf4; WIDTH: 95pt; HEIGHT: 30pt; BORDER-TOP: #4d6776 0.5pt solid; BORDER-RIGHT: #4d6776 0.5pt solid" class=xl63 height=40 width=127>01.09.2011</TD><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #4d6776 0.5pt solid; BORDER-LEFT: #4d6776; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #d7ecf4; WIDTH: 101pt; BORDER-TOP: #4d6776 0.5pt solid; BORDER-RIGHT: #4d6776 0.5pt solid" class=xl64 width=135>Sep-11</TD></TR><TR style="HEIGHT: 30pt" height=40><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #4d6776 0.5pt solid; BORDER-LEFT: #4d6776 0.5pt solid; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #d7ecf4; WIDTH: 95pt; HEIGHT: 30pt; BORDER-TOP: #4d6776; BORDER-RIGHT: #4d6776 0.5pt solid" class=xl65 height=40 width=127>01.10.2011</TD><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #4d6776 0.5pt solid; BORDER-LEFT: #4d6776; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #d7ecf4; WIDTH: 101pt; BORDER-TOP: #4d6776; BORDER-RIGHT: #4d6776 0.5pt solid" class=xl64 width=135>Oct-11</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

i cant use macros so a formula would be great if there is one :-)

Thanks
