Is there a way to change colors automatically in excel!?!?

I'm trying to figure out if there's a way I could change the color of incorrect data automatically. For example....if I had a column of data and wanted to highlight anything greater or less than 100%, how would I do that? For example...all numbers that return values of 100% will be automatically blue...and all other numbers that arent equal to 100% will become red. Is there a way to do this? I dont have the slightest idea.... Hope this makes sense....

Welcome to the board. You can do that by using conditional formating. Its under the format menu and allows you to format a cell anyway you want based upon a result. The Excel help file is actually a little short on the explanation, but you can always brows this forum or ask for help.

The solution to your problem is conditional formatting. Follow the steps below:

1) Select the cells for which you want to add conditional formatting
2) On the Format menu, click Conditional Formatting.
3) click Cell Value Is, select the comparison phrase equal to, and then type 1
4) Click Format
5) Select the formatting you want from character page.

To add another condition, click Add, and then repeat steps 3 through 5 selecting this time the comparison phrase different from and applying a different format.
