Is there a way to create a pop up box using VBA that will prompt data to be entered into a specific cell?

Hello,

I have a macro that formats new hire data sent by HR into something I can use for my purposes, but the HR data is missing the date of hire. I'd like the macro to pop up a box that prompts manual entry of this date and then fills cell A1 with that date. Is this even possible?

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
You have the Macro and we don't, so where it goes nobody knows. That said, this one line would accomplish what you are asking...

VBA Code:
Range("A1") = Application.InputBox(prompt:="Please Enter Date of Hire", Type:=2)
