I use Excel 2003.
Here is the sitatuion. I have a list of numbers in column A. They range from 10 digit to 12 digit numbers. I want to then create a list of numbers in column B.
In column B I want the last 10 digits of the numbers in column A. So if the number is 10 digits 1234567890 in column A then in column B it should also be 1234567890.
However if it is 11 or 12 digits, 12345678901 or 123456789012 then I want the number in column B to be 2345678901 or 3456789012.
I'm sure I can use the IF( ) statements to make this happen. But I'm not sure how, and I'm not sure what logic statement I would use to count digits.
Thank you. [/img]
