is vlookup 2003 and 2007 the same

I use Vlookup at home on 2007 and get

value,range,column,(true/false)

when I try at work on 2003 I get

value,range,column,[rangeLookup]

Is this right and if so how can I do approximate match in 2003?

Yes it is the same, put 1 as the last parameter for approximate.

I must have been doing something wrong earlier 'cos I couldn't make it work but have tried again and not at all to your surprise it worked!
