I have a sheet with an Index and Match and I now want to add another formula to say, if the Index and Match has come back as #n/a then calculate cell I5 minus cell L5, if the Index and Match has returned a number then calculate I5 minus K5. I've tried to following formula but it isn't working, what am I doing wrong?

=if(isnumber(K5,(I5-K5),(I5-L5)))

thanks

How to calculate loan payments in Excel?
Use the PMT function: =PMT(5%/12,60,-25000) is for a $25,000 loan, 5% annual interest, 60 month loan.
I think you might have a misplaced parenthisis.

=if(isnumber(K5),(I5-K5),(I5-L5))

Or, you can use N function instead :

=IF(N(K5),I5-K5,I5-L5)
