Hey guys,
I have made a small workbook tracking vacation data.
But when I try to open it, I get the message that it is already open by me, and I can only open in read only. This is not a shared file, so something crazy is going on here.

Anyone know what I can do to open this file? I have tried restarting my computer, and still the same message.

Excel Facts

Copy PDF to Excel
Select data in PDF. Paste to Microsoft Word. Copy from Word and paste to Excel.
I looked, but all that was there is my personal.xls that holds my quick macros.

Any other ideas?

Thanks for the quick reply................

Very strange :eeek:

Try starting Excel in safe mode (see above link). Does the same problem occur when you try to open the file?
