I am running XP and Office 2007/Excel. For years I have dragged and dropped our client company names from websites into my Excel spreadsheet. These are already linked so that when you click on them in Excel that company's internet website launches-very convenient for me because I have hundreds that I keep track of. I have the warning disabled in Excel so I don't get the "dangerous hyperlink" warning all the time. Until now. Suddenly one client used javascript hyperlinks, and the warning pops up now. Even when I click "continue" the link does not work-the company website does not launch. A normal hyperlink still works fine in all my other Excel spreadsheets.
Does anyone have any idea what the problem is with a javascript hyperlink in Excel? Why does it suddenly activate the "danger" message when I have it disabled? Any idea how I can get these hyperlinks to work?
