Can I create a join properties between two tables where the column ID in tableA is 9 bytes long and column ID in tableB is 12 bytes long ? Both columns ID are text and tableB has over 10,000,000 records and tableA has 600 records. I only want to join the first 9 bytes in tableB.

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
Create a query from table B where you have a calculated field that returns the first nine characters of your field (use the LEFT function), and return all the other fields you want.

Then link this query to table A and return the fields you want.
