Does anyone know how to convert a column of Julian date to Gregorian Dates...ie 2002002 to 1/2/02 or January 2, 2002.

Excel Facts

Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the $ sign).
How 'bout...

=DATE(LEFT(A2,4),1,)+RIGHT(A2,3)

...where A2 contains your Julian date.

For some reason this isn't working for me o_O
I have the Julian date 03365 and the formula returns the date of 7/2/93. (the date should be 12/31/03 right?)

PLEASE HELP ME!!! THANKS!

What century is 03365 from? Why aren't you eliminating such ambiguity by using a yyyy date model?

If you want Excel to guess the century then use...

=("1/1/"&LEFT(A2,2))-1+RIGHT(A2,3)
