=if(E11<F9,B4)

I want to keep this formula in the cell.
i wish to enter a value into that cell to change the value,
but when E11<F9, the cells will equal to B4

is it possible to do so.?
can vba code help?

Excel Facts

Copy PDF to Excel
Select data in PDF. Paste to Microsoft Word. Copy from Word and paste to Excel.
looking at your formula =IF(E11<F9,B4,B5). In the previous example, use B5 (which I just arbitrarily used - you can use whatever cell you like) to input your "overwrite" value, that way your formula remains intact.

what i wanted to say is fill out the IF FALSE section of your formula with another cell reference. Use cell B5 for example. In cell B5, when the result of your formula is FALSE, the formula will pull in the value from B5. In B5, you'll manually type whatever value you want instead of overwriting the IF formula.

BTW, I used B5 as an example, you can use whatever cell reference you like.

Thanks VoG for the explanation on correct posting formats.
