Hi, how do you keep graphs in proportion after you create them?

So after some edits, let's say the x axis has a max range of 45 and the y axis has a max range of 25, but the graph looks funny...

Why can't spreadsheets drive cars? They crash too often!
For each axis, place your cursor on that axis and right click. Choose the following:

Format Axis.
Scale.

This should do it for you. Experiment with it a little, you'll get the hang of it in no time.

Welcome to the board, iambinary.

What is it that "looks funny"? Besides me.

Oh the max range (number on axis) should stay the same. The actual graph (the outside box; the actual box) is what I'm trying to scale in correct proportion. That the graph is out-of-proportion is what makes it look funny.

You can resize both the outside box (Chart Area) and the inside box (Plot Area) by clicking on them and then grabbing (click & hold) one of the corners. Is that what you're looking for?

"Chart Area... (click & hold) one of the corners." - yes... now how do I make it so all sides are proportional? the computer does can do it much more accurately than most humans can, but it doesn't scale automatically, so I'm trying to find the option to "Keep Graph in Proportion."

so im assuming excel doesn't have that functionality, which i would be very surprise at since excel does a lot that i don't know about.

anyone know what is the real answer?
