I need to change only the column reference and keep all cell references as i drag down.

My formula is in column C sheet 2.
I reference sheet 1 column B.
Column B in sheet I increases row reference by 20 or 21or 22.

So column C sheet 2 as it goes down would read "sheet 2 B10 - sheet 1 B 20 - sheet 1B 33 etc.

I just want to be able to change the "B" reference to "E" but keep all the rows referenced.

Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
Hi, I'm afraid I do not follow. Your title "keep column references same but change row reference" is contradictory to "I just want to be able to change the "B" reference to "E" but keep all the rows referenced."
So the mixes references are either $B10 to block the column, or B$20 to block the rows,. But dragging down won't change the column reference per default, it only touches the rows referenced.
Perhaps you can improve the description of your thread by adding a screenshot or two.

Thanks
However I realized that all I needed to do was highlight the column with the formula in it and do a "find and select" to change the B to an E.
Thanks again for the response.
Regards
