I'm using Excel 2007.

Two questions:

1- When we want to select a set of data we hold shift+Ctrl+right arrow and down arrow! Say I want the mouse to go to the first cell ie:A2 while the the sheet is selected, how can I do that?

2- I've sorted a set of data and saved them, now I want to return to previous format how can I do that?

Thanks guys so much for your help!

You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
Thanks Fazza.

Actually I want to return to the first cell while I'm on the selection criterea. Instead of scrolling up to cell A, I want to use a shortcut to get me up to the first cell while I'm selecting the whole table.

For the unsort I tried them but didn't work. what I meant is say I've sorted number of data then saved them, afterwhile needed to unsort them again to return to the beginning unsort table, can I do that?!

If I understand correctly
 1. CTRL-.
 2. there is no such in-built short cut (to undo a sort after saving the file)

Thanks Fazza!

If I read this right you're saying: (Ctrl + -) right!

For the unsort doesn't matter if there's a shortcut or not, I'm really looking for something to undo the sorting?

No. That might delete rows/columns!

I should not have used the - symbol as a separator. Sorry.

So, NOT CTRL+-
Rather CTRL+.

That assumes you already have the selection. I'm not sure what you have...

To undo the sorting might be specific to your data. Maybe easier to add another field and populate it such as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 in successive cells - obviously before you do the sorting you will want to undo. When you need to revert to that order, sort on the additional field.

Also Ctrl+ could do the same as Ctrl-. Anyway it helps a lot!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
For the unsort I think it's ok to use your way or just isolate both sheets before and after sorting. I just wanted to confirm my understanding that there'sn't undo sort feature built-in!

Thanks for your help!
