Keyboard shortcut to iinsert a row

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
Hold Alt and type IR will do it. That is just menu navigation though, donno if there is something shorter than that.

I know its not a keyboard shortcut, but just right clicking on the row and select Insert (or press the letter I) is the way I normally do it.

Andy,

Throw your mouse away. :p Keyboards are much faster and more reliable.

Couldn't agree more, but when a keyboard shortcut doesn't exist (or at least is unknown by me), then sometimes its quicker to resort to the attached rodent.

Getting off topic, but my gripe is different keyboard layouts. I hate sitting down at a machine and think I'm hit Home when I'm really hitting End.

My laptop requires the Fn key to use page up/down (on the arrows) so going to the next sheet is cntrl+Fn+down arrow. Boo!

Shift-Space to select active row, then Ctrl-+ to insert a row. Ctrl-- to delete row.

Haha! you would hate typing on my keyboard... I use dvorak, so if you tried typing "qwerty" on my keyboard it would come out "',.pyf" and "asdfgh" would come out "aoeuid"... whoa. Imagine trying to switch back and forth in my shoes.
