I have dates in column B, and I want to count only those dates that are less than the dates in column A. (in other words, count the date in B2 as 1 if it is less than the date in A2, the date in B17 if it is less than the date in A17, etc....and the final count of all dates in B less than dates in A is...??

I'm sure this is a really easy one, but I didn't even know how to search for it incase it had already been answered umpteen times (isn't that word "umpteen" great?!)

Thanks for any help you can provide.

=SUMPRODUCT(--ISNUMBER($B$2:$B$20),--($B$2:$B$20 < $A$2:$A$20))
