How to label charts with values and percentages at the same time?

Excel Facts

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
Hello and welcome to the board,

If it is a PI chart then one of the LABEL options is to show VALUE and %.

Obviously, you haven't got a PI Chart though, which one have you got.

I am using V97.

Hello,

I don't think it is possible.

I assume you mean a %age of the total, so if you had a graph of three values say 20, 20 and 40 you would want 25%, 25% and 50%.

Can you not use a PI chart, or a doughnut.

That is exactly what I want!

Not possible haa!

I got some idea in my head that it can be done in powerpoint, can it?
So I assumed that it can be done in Excel also (without VBA).

I can use PIE but this report I am doing require column graphs!

But thanks anyway, Your response was really prompt!

Hello,

May have found a workaround.

If you create the %age values of the cells, you could make the x-axis labels these percentage values.

Is this any good?

You mentioned that there is an option to choose VALUE and PERCENTAGE under Chart Options. I'm using V97 and only see LABEL and PERCENTAGE. I would like to display the VALUE and LABEL on my pie chart Do you have any suggestions?

Thank you in advance!

You just go under chart option and choose data labels.
Then choose what you want.
