When I try and merge my spreadsheet into Word to create mailing labels, i have a problem with the zip code. When i merge the field shows up with a M_66061. I cant get rid of the M_ I have tried different formats including text and zip code

Excel Facts

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
The "M_" dosen't show up in the excel cell but when i mail merge it into word..it shows up as part of zip code.

Then in your Word document you have some stray characters. From menu go to:

Tools / Options

In the Options pane, choose the View tab. Enable all the various hidden codes so that you see exactly what is in the document. Once you've corrected the problem, go back & restore the normal state.

still having problems...word will not even import the zip code. It shows up in the merge window that you use to select what fields you want to merge, but then nothing shows up in the final product.
