Hi All,
New to the forum and already have a bizarre excel situation.

Computer #1 = Excel 2010 on PC
Computer #2 = Excel 2016 on MAC
Both computers using Canon ipf8300s large format printer.
Both trying to print a 30 x 44 inch spreadsheet.

My PC is successful in setting a print area, and printing on one page
while scaling to fit. The MAC will only print several pages. It is like if the MAC only sees the print area as a bunch of Letter size sheets so it print a tiny sheet on a huge page, actually on several huge pages. Is this something to do with the 2016 version ?

Thanks
Dan

are you using generic printer drivers, or the specific ones for that machine and the operating system?

specific printer driver for each machine, the very latest ones as well as the latest firmware for the printer.

what i did not mention in my original post is that while all is good on the PC side the best I can get on the MAC machine is the sheets to print on large page by using the "n-up" type option...the option that let's me specify how many sheets to print on the same page. But those are still a bunch of tiny sheets just printed closer together on one large page of paper.

I have included screen shots to show the difference in the print preview window.
Same file, same print area, same selected paper type (Arch E 36x48"), same network printer. The only difference is Excel 2010 on a PC and Excel 2016 on a MAC.

Tried, does not work. I am almost at a point where I think it is a limitation of the MAC version of Excel.

Like in a previous version of Excel where the zoom out function had a minimum of 25% on MAC but 10% on PCs

could you export as pdf and then print that ?
