Large spreadsheet hanging - anyway to stop it?

Hi,

I've got a spreadsheet with around 245,000 rows and around 25 columns of data. Like an idiot I highlighted the entire sheet in order to auto resize the columns and it's now been hanging for about 25 minutes. Is there anyway I can stop this process without closing excel (I've got another spreadsheet open that I haven't saved yet and really don't want to lose the work!)

:(

Excel Facts

Pivot Table Drill Down
Double-click any number in a pivot table to create a new report showing all detail rows that make up that number
Not really, sorry. Excel should try to autosave the unsaved workbook though, and reopen it when it restarts.
